Vito has a BA in Fine Art from the State University of New York at Geneseo and has taught and studied at the Art Students League at Denver and the Loveland Academy of Fine Arts. She has expanded her knowledge by taking numerous workshops over the years with artists Quang Ho, Ramon Kelley, Clyde Aspevig, Mike Lynch, Greg McHuron, Laura Robb and Nancy Guzik, Greg Kreutz and Robert Johnson. Vito painted with acclaimed Master Artist Richard Schmid for five years.

Teresa is so excited about teaching in Tuscany because her grandparents in the early 1900's came to the US from Italy and help build the railroad across upstate NY.

Teresa Vito's paintings reflect the beauty she sees all around her. She loves painting living energy, whether it is the outdoor landscape, berries and flowers picked for a still life, or the unending variety of the human face.
Teresa Vito grew up in a one store town in upstate New York. She had never met an artist or went to an art gallery until she went to college. She chose to major in art because she loved to draw. College offered no clue as to how to become an artist so she decided to try to figure it out on her own.

With $250 and a train ticket to Denver (she had never been west of Ohio) carrying a suitcase, a purse and a portfolio of nude drawings, Vito began her artistic journey. During her twenties she did every job she could find that was art related. Vito worked in a frame shop and gallery, at art supply stores, made posters and newspaper advertisments and created display windows in downtown Denver. Determined to try being an artist full time, in 1992 Vito saved up enough money to live on for a year and that year continued till this day. Now, as always she spends her time trying to be the best painter she can be.

The il Cassero Villa is built into the wall of the medieval town of Lucignano and offers all the modern amenities. All the apartments have private baths with showers and kitchenettes for those who may prefer to cook some of their own meals. The Villa is adjacent to the city gates and just within a few steps of the gates is a grocery store, butcher shop, and pharmacy. Provisions purchased at the local grocery store and butcher shop are locally produced. All essential needs can be met within a short walking distance of the Villa. For those who do not care to cook, immediately outside of the Villa gates are two cafes great for breakfast and/or lunch. Several restaurants in Lucignano offer fine dining that equal restaurants in the major Italian cities like Florence, Venice, Rome and at much better pricing. Located in the heart of Tuscany, Lucignano as well as il Cassero is steeped in history that goes back centuries. A vacation at il Cassero is like stepping back in time. Town archives state that Leonardo da Vinci once visited Lucignano to do sketches from atop the tower of il Cassero. Perched on the summit of a hill covered with olive trees, many parts of the town command beautiful views of the surrounding Tuscan Hills and valleys.
