It's so exciting to be returning to one of the greatest and most beautiful cities in the world not only to paint but to explore some if it's many cultural riches.

You will have three choices: 1) to take painting instruction with noted colorist Jennifer Padgett; 2) to come and paint with the group without taking instruction and 3) to combine painting with cultural discovery - museum shows, etc.

Your cost will be determined by your above choice.

Jennifer will teach this exciting outdoor painting adventure on the romantic, poetic streets of Paris, the City of Light. We will be painting in the fabulous Jardin du Luxembourg, Paris' most impressive city park, the oft-painted Tuileries near the Louvre, the charming winding streets of the Left Bank and the Cathedral of Notre Dame as seen from alongside the Seine.

We will take time outside the city to visit and/or paint the town of Auvers-sur-Oise, the last home of Vincent Van Gogh, and a village untouched by the hordes of tourists, or the town of Giverny, and Monet's famous gardens.

We will lodge in the Hotel Edouard Manet, a charming and well-maintained two star hotel (private bathrooms, telephones and TV's in each room - and the best breakfast choice in Paris!) in the 13th arrondissement near the Place d'Italie and will be taking the nearby Metro to our Paris painting locations.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1973, Jennifer Padgett is an artist noted for her strong sense of light and color. Her oil paintings are rendered in a loose and painterly manner that convey the vitality and essence of a moment. From Diebenkorn to Vermeer, Jennifer loves and is influenced by a wide range of painters.

She graduated in 1995 from Lipscomb University with a bachelors degree in fine art. Jennifer has studied with Dawn Whitelaw, Ann Templeton, Kim English, Ken Auster, and George Strickland. Widely collected, her paintings are found in many private and corporate collections such as Ingram Industries and Vanderbilt University.

Jennifer has had numerous one woman shows and has exhibited widely.
